K-12 Outreach
The UCCS College of Engineering and Applied Science engages K–12 students through interactive STEM experiences designed to spark curiosity in aerospace, robotics, and engineering. Led by faculty such as Dr. Lynnane George, activities include demonstrations of regeneratively cooled rocket engines, hands-on robotics with Sphero and Tonybot, and engaging lessons on orbits and space technology. Outreach takes place at major community events like Wings Over the Rockies Museum’s Air & Space programs, in collaboration with organizations such as Cool Science, where Dr. George serves as Vice President of the Board. Additional efforts connect students with engineers and military professionals, offering inspiration and insight into STEM careers.
