We work closely with AFFECT-EVO<\/a> workgroup 2 (WG2 in the figure above). This is part of a European Union COST action that brings together researchers from across Europe and the rest of the world to work on better understanding, describing, and educating people about animal affective states, including their emotions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Anthrozoology Symposium<\/a>, organized by our collaborators in Romania and throughout Europe, is a virtual meeting that features speakers from across many different anthrozoological contexts. Two student members of the Colorado Anthrozoology Lab will be presenting their research at the 2026 meeting which takes place in November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The International Society for Anthrozoology (ISAZ)<\/a> is a supportive organization for the scientific and scholarly study of human\u2013animal interactions. Dr. Kisley organized a symposium for the 2026 meeting in Paris that will feature speakers from across a range of anthrozoological contexts. The title of the symposium is “How People Understand Animal Emotion States Across Anthrozoological Contexts: Perception, Beliefs, and Consequences for Human\u2013Animal Relations<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anthrozoology as International Practice<\/a> is an organization devoted to providing opportunities for students to present their work, in addition to supporting their professional development.
